Today I purchased a DVD-ROM drive for my Xbox 360. It was cheap so I thought it would be a great addition to. The software that came with my DVD-ROM drive has been a real hassle, so I decided to install iPrep.

I downloaded the DVD-ROM drive and the software from the CD. I then uninstalled it because I don't want to get the software working. I did not uninstall the Iprep 101 file. I just renamed it to.

I now have the DVD-ROM drive working with iPrep, but when I restart the Xbox 360, it says a DVD-ROM drive is in use. I then must shut down the Xbox to get rid of the message.

I have had the DVD-ROM drive for my Xbox 360 for almost two years now. As I have mentioned in my post, I have had a couple problems with it. The first problem I had was my console (Xbox 360) was freezing up while watching movies. I was at a friends house and he and I.

I used this method on a Samsung DVD-ROM drive. It worked for me, but I had to skip a step (no need to disable the Windows firewall).
Download iPrep to your desktop.
Extract the.rar file from iPrep to your desktop.
Unzip the.zip file of iPrep.
Extract the zip file of iPrep.
Go to the "ifile" directory of the unzipped file.
Delete the ".exe" file and "iXtreme.dll" file.
Restart the Xbox 360 and insert the DVD-ROM drive, wait for the "Inserting a DVD-ROM" message, and then press be359ba680
